Elaine Coombs' first solo exhibit







SKY BLOOM was Elaine Coombs' first solo exhibit at Andrea Schwartz Gallery. A reception with the artist was held on Wednesday, February 7, 5:30 - 7:30pm at 545 4th Street, San Francisco, CA. This exhibit ran through March 14, 2024. ''I was extremely moved when I read the first chapter of A New Earth in which Eckhart Tolle describes the blooming of a flower as the enlightenment of plants. Pondering this idea for quite some time, I have come to think of sunsets and sunrises as the blooming of the sky.''

A List of Resources and How to Support Artists and Art Workers Affected by the Los Angeles Wildfires

With over 10,000 structures lost and 10 lives tragically claimed thus far, the Los Angeles wildfires this week are among the most devastating in the city’s history. Among those affected are countless artists and art workers who have seen their homes, studios, and businesses destroyed. Fires continue to burn, the risk of damage still remains, and many are still unsure of the state of the neighborhoods they’ll return to. As the city looks to rebuild, several mutual aid programs, fundraising accounts, and supply-donation sites have surfaced to assist the Los Angeles art world. Below is an ongoing list.
